Inventionland

I don't know why but I never posted these even though I meant to. So without further ado I present...Inventionland. Or at least the models I did. These are sets in Inventionland at Davison.

Inventsons

These are the Inventsons charecters from a project I've been working on for quite some time. These were modeled in their poses so that they could have plastic sculpts made in the company's prototyping machines. They were converted into .STL files and could have no overlapping geometry.

All of the Inventsons related charecters and animations were done while at Davison.

...a new car!

I modeled this a while ago. I was never too happy with the car paint in mental ray, but I thought the headlamps turned out nicely.

This is an idea I've had for a while, but very limited time to work on it. This will be the main character for an animated short though when all is said and done. I'm eventually going to equip him with hair. I still need to texture about 90% of him, and he needs to be rigged, but it's a start!

Flash Animation

Some Flash walk cycles for the octopod. Again, I compressed the stink out of them for loading purposes.

Octopod Rising!!

This one was made after the pod went through some minor texture changes. All I can say is...thank you compression. I didn't want to see the drops of water anyway.

Pod Jump!

I apologize for the bad quality. I compressed the heck out of these .MOV files to upload, and play quicker. I'm guessing blogger does a number on them too.

Leaders of the 1920's

This was something done for an art blog we've started doing at work. I picked the one person who never really changed his expression. Plus I wanted to draw a mustache!

The Great Emancipator

WooHoo! An Update! So when I was home for the Thanksgiving holiday, my grandmother lovingly told me that I had a beard like Abe Lincoln. My brother-in-law found that funny enough to refer to me as "Honest Abe "or "The Great Emancipator" for that weekend and again at Christmas as well. I figured that was as good a subject matter as any for an illustration so here we go.

Look I drawered something!

I think it's funny when sometimes I sit down and want to draw, but can't, yet at other times a drawing just sort of comes out of the pencil when you aren't even trying. This was one of those times. I painted this in Illustrator a couple of different ways, but I settled on posting this one since it is how I typically illlustrate.

Axe strikes again

This was a character in an animation I'm working on, but she was changed to be less athletic. I thought it was a good looking character though, so it ended up here!

Ahoy!

So here is a pirate ship I modeled for a project. Eventually, this particular ship design was scrapped, but since I spent a good bit of time on it, and because I kind of like it, I present it now for the world to see. Behold, and revel in it's "piratey" goodness.
